whose second career choice was always writing. She's
written technical manuals, training manuals, and has
been teaching since 1987. She is now teaching to other

Nann Dunne

Nann Dunne has been a professional editor in the corporate
arena for thirty years. Seven years ago, she expanded
into fiction editing and embarked on an effort to master
the craft for editing novels, short stories, and anthologies.
In a constant effort to provide authors and editors
with information and tips on improving their writing

Mary Phillps

By day Mary is an office administrator with responsibilities
that include
marketing, advertising, public relations and event planning.
Mary's
background also includes writing training manuals, website
content and
proofing intellectual data contracts. She started beta
reading for various
authors of online fan fiction over 5 years ago. It seemed
only logical that
she enter the world of editing and began with being
a final proofer for
many published authors. .
Rick R. Reed
Editorial Consultant
Rick R. Reed has been writing and editing as long as
he can remember. After graduating from Miami University
with a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Mass Communications,
Reed worked in the corporate world as a writer and editor
for a multitude of publications and advertising agencies.
For nine years, he was a senior entertainment writer
for the weekly, Windy City Times. Currently, Reed writes
fiction and does freelance writing and editorial work.
Reed has chronicled the sexual and horrific lives of
the misbegotten in novels like Obsessed, Penance, A
Face Without a Heart, and In the Blood. In 2007, watch
for the novels, IM and Deadly Vision: Book One of the
Cassandra Chronicles. Reed's short fiction has appeared
in nearly twenty anthologies; his short fiction was
collected in 2006 in Twisted: Tales of Obsession and

Evelyn A. Schlatter

Evelyn A. Schlatter has been professionally editing
for nearly fifteen years. She cut her teeth at a historical
journal while working on her Ph.D. in history at the
University of New Mexico and then split her time there
and at the University of New Mexico Press until 2000,
when she finished her doctorate. She was hired full-time
at UNM Press as an acquisitions and managing editor
until 2004, when she moved out of state. She currently
freelance edits for a variety of publishing houses,
academic and non-academic.
Ruta Skujins

Ruta Skujins has spent years editing and proofreading
in the corporate world and only recently made the move
to editing fiction. She began beta-reading manuscripts
in 2004 and since then has helped shepherd several to
publication stage. Growing up in a household where several
languages were spoken, she often read aloud, translating
on the fly, for her grandmother who spoke no English.
Because of her familys emphasis on books and translation,
Ruta developed a love of the pacing, the imagery, and
the emotion of a well-crafted sentence or paragraph.
She is especially good with newer writers who are still
finding their voices and can be counted on for encouragement
and support at every step of the editing process

Sylverre is a line and substantive editor with a background in communications. Her experience includes fiction and non-fiction for various audiences in a number of genres; her specialty is the hyphenated romance. A technical writer, novelist, and instructor, Sylverre edits always with the author's intent in mind and with the reader's pleasure her ultimate goal. She edits for several niche publishers, and writes for a handful of others.
Jane Vollbrecht

Jane Vollbrecht spent more than thirty years as a technical
training specialist writing training manuals and editing
course materials for a government agency’s educational
programs before turning her attention to writing novels.
Jane has a BA in Speech Communication with minors in
English and General Business (St. Cloud State University,
Minnesota). She is a member of Lambda Iota Tau, an international
honors literature society. Since first publishing in
2005, Jane prides herself on being thorough and helpful,
particularly to newer authors.
J. Robin Whitley

Robin's experience comes from editing professional contracts,
online marketing network pages and government tariffs
in the corporate world and editing curriculum in the
educational and theological fields. Robin has published
poetry, reflections and articles in The Lutheran Magazine,
Taproots Theological Journal, and is completing a book
of reflections.
